Description of the company
The European Union (EU) is an economic and political association of 27 founding countries established after the Second World War. Its initial steps involved fostering economic cooperation with the idea that as the economic interdependence among trading nations increased, the likelihood of conflicts between them would decrease. Though it began as a purely economic regional process, the EU has evolved to encompass a wide range of public policies at the European level, from education to judicial cooperation and environmental protection. The EU also has a foreign policy. In this context, it is the main agent of international cooperation for development aid as well as the world's largest donor of humanitarian aid.
