From May 20 to 22, Argentina’s mining industry will experience one of its most important events of the year: Arminera 2025. Over 300 companies will take over 20,000 m² at La Rural fairgrounds in Buenos Aires to showcase the latest innovations transforming the mining ecosystem at both local and regional levels.

Organized by the Argentine Chamber of Mining Companies (CAEM) and Messe Frankfurt Argentina, the exhibition has established itself as a strategic platform for business, technology, and knowledge, bringing together all links in the mining value chain. The event also serves as a privileged showcase for Argentina’s growing integration into the global mineral market.

Cutting-edge technology and smart solutions

This edition of Arminera will focus on efficiency, automation, and sustainability. Companies like Libus will present their line of personal protective equipment, including new respirators and helmets. Meanwhile, Big Dipper is expected to capture attention with its applied robotics: quadruped and humanoid robots designed for video surveillance, perimeter patrol, and rescue operations in complex mining environments.

IPH, a company specializing in heavy load lifting and transport, will unveil its updated range of technical solutions. “Arminera is a unique opportunity to connect with key industry players, explore new partnerships, and demonstrate our commitment to continuous improvement,” representatives from the company stated.

Sustainability at the core

Sustainable development will play a central role in this year’s exhibition. Inquinat, a company focused on the efficient use of water resources, will showcase water treatment systems for consumption and industrial processes. “Our commitment to the environment is an essential part of our value proposition,” said the company’s spokespeople.

In the same spirit, CIMC WETRANS, a leader in modular solutions, will highlight products designed to support safer and more efficient mining practices, aligned with Argentina’s environmental challenges. Modulor, for its part, will introduce innovations in energy efficiency, connectivity, and remote operation—key to a modern and decentralized mining industry.

A forum for strategic dialogue

In addition to the main exhibition, Arminera 2025 will feature a robust parallel agenda of high-level activities. The Arminera Summit 2025, the Supplier Development Roundtable, and the Machinery Plaza will serve as critical forums for technical exchange and business opportunities.

The event will also include the Lithium Roundtable and the Copper Roundtable, two spaces specifically designed to foster institutional and business partnerships around Argentina’s key strategic resources.

Once again, Arminera promises to be much more than a trade fair: it will be a space to anticipate the future of Argentina’s mining sector, where innovation, sustainability, and collaboration define the path forward.

Mining Prices on the Rise: Argentina’s Mineral Export Index Climbs 3% Driven by Gold and Copper

According to a recent report from Argentina’s Secretariat of Mining, the global minerals market experienced significant volatility in March, reflecting a complex international backdrop shaped by macroeconomic uncertainty, geopolitical tensions, and shifts in trade policies among major global powers. Against this backdrop, Argentina’s Mineral Export Price Index rose 3% month-over-month, consolidating at historically high levels.

The Future of Copper: Between Structural Challenges and Strategic Opportunity

The global race for copper is accelerating, with projections suggesting the world will need 70% more copper by 2050. This figure—equivalent to adding the output of 20 Escondida-sized mines each year—not only highlights the scale of the challenge but also underscores the vast opportunities for copper-producing countries, especially in South America.
