With nearly 30 years of experience at Scania, including his recent role as Managing Director of Scania Iberia, the new CEO will take on the leadership role in Argentina starting on January 1, 2025.

Scania Argentina announces the appointment of Sebastián Figueroa as its new CEO, effective January 1, 2025. Figueroa, an Argentine with nearly three decades of experience at the company, will take on this challenge with the goal of continuing to strengthen the leadership of the Swedish brand in the country.

He began his career at Scania in 1995 as part of the Sales Department at Scania Argentina. He later held key roles, such as Managing Director of the dealer network in the country, and in 2008, he was appointed Sales and Marketing Director for the markets of Argentina and Uruguay.

Since 2014, he successfully led Scania Chile’s operations as Managing Director, and until his recent appointment, he served as Managing Director of Scania Iberia, leading the markets of Spain and Portugal. His return to Argentina marks a new chapter in his distinguished career.

“It is an honor for me to take on this new position at Scania, a company that has been part of my professional life for so many years. I am excited to lead operations in Argentina, my home country, alongside a team committed to providing more sustainable transport solutions that meet our customers’ needs in such a promising market, driving excellence and innovation,” commented Sebastián Figueroa.

Oscar Jaern will take on the responsibility of leading Scania Bank in Brazil. With an outstanding 22-year career at the company, he will bring his extensive experience and strategic vision to strengthen the brand’s financial operations in Brazil, one of the most important markets in the region.

Sebastián holds a degree in Marketing and has a postgraduate degree in Finance. Before joining the brand, he gained experience in the corporate sector through managing his family business.

Scania reinforces its commitment to developing internal talent and its constant pursuit of innovation and sustainability in all the markets where it operates.
