This traditional gathering for business, information exchange, and institutional networking takes place itinerantly in the provinces of Salta, Jujuy, and Catamarca, welcoming over 20 mining companies and lithium producers, more than 100 supplier companies, and delegates from over 15 countries aligned with the development of this sector.
For this edition, the conferences will focus on market-related themes, which are of utmost importance in the current context. “Despite a scenario of falling prices, the future projection remains positive, driven by the growing demand for lithium for the production of electric vehicles. Additionally, special emphasis will be placed on the situation of the public and private sectors, policies to stimulate this industry, as well as the analysis of environmental and community aspects, the local impact of operations, and applied technologies, including new innovations for efficient and sustainable production,” stated the organization.
Among the specialists who will present at this edition are professionals, institutions, and companies of global significance, such as the National Mining Secretariat, the governments of Jujuy, Salta, and Catamarca, the European Union, the World Bank, the French Development Agency, the Stockholm Environment Institute, JP Morgan, and consulting firms CRU, Benchmark Minerals Intelligence, S&P Global Platts, and Fastmarkets.
The renowned analyst Joe Lowry, also known as “Mr. Lithium” for his extensive knowledge of the lithium market and pricing trends and expectations for the short, medium, and long term, will also participate. From the private sector, well-known lithium companies such as Arcadium Lithium, Lithium Argentina, Eramet, Rio Tinto, Ganfeng Lithium, Albemarle, Galan Lithium, Lake Resources, and Hanaq, among others, will attend.
In parallel to the conferences, business rounds, informational and commercial meetings, networking activities, and various proposals designed to foster connections among leading sector players in search of new advancements for the industry will be held.
“A new edition of Lithium in South America is arriving this October 9 and 10 in Jujuy, a province that has two of the four currently operating projects and is located in a region that hosts dozens of world-class projects. We believe it will be a great opportunity to learn about what is happening and what may come in the lithium sector. We expect to welcome over 1,500 people and connect all parties involved in the development of this thriving sector for our country and the world,” concluded the organization.
